Joined up with Telecom and got the free modem its just for ADSL atm will get VDSL in the near future, got the free modem(HG630B) ive been using the telecom broadband assist and it keeps telling me i have no wireless network card enabled, what i cant understand is i was with slingshot before jumping ship and was using my old flat mates wifi with no problems at all.

In my device manager all i have under network adapters is my motherboard one

Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 PCI-E Ethernet Controller(NDIS6.20)

No wireless network card found

We've not been able to find a working wireless network card on your computer.

Click on Retry to troubleshoot your wireless connection after verifying that the wireless button/adaptor on your computer is switched on.

Forget that assistance software. The key should be on the router to get online to it and then telecom usually don't need anything on the router.
