Gone is the $1.47 off-peak national hour which was very very nice.

In it's place is a $1 for 30 minutes which is still pretty good, till the end of August.

but.................

Telecom are doing a Vodafone, This time they are only offering it to Prepaid, not OneBilll like the 3minhr was....
It also states "Telecom landlines" I Wonder if my Telecom line resold through Telstraclear counts?, I'm assuming my iTalk does not.

When are Telecom going to introduce a service so you can tell if a landline number is a Telecom customer or not? 123 can't tell you..

Is there anybody out there apart from Telecom Mobile offering special deals to Telecom landlines?

To be fair when the 3 miniute hour was first launched it was a prepaid only promo, but then a few days latter they changed their mind and included Go One Bill customers as-well. I can only guess if they will do the same here.

I doubt it, as outside of these promo's, there isn't a real need, i.e. local calling is still zero rated and if you dial a prefix before hand you expect to pay for the call.

But if Telecom are going to have promotions such as this and say they are only to "Telecom Landlines" then there are going to be issues arising if Telecom are infact enforcing this and charging for calls to other providers, the mobile user isn't going to know.

True, I'll pass on the feedback.

I was just in a telecom store getting a top up and saw the flyer for this new promo, can see also the obvious problem of trying to work out which network each person's landline is on. I tried texting my work DDI number to 300 (service to tell which mobile network a number is on) and it just came back with an error. Can see some brown stuff hitting the wall with this one...
