Just purchased a new Telecom prepaid phone which came with a Sim pack.

Is there anywhere on the Telecom website where I can arrange to port my 2degrees number across??

I chatted online to a CSR and he told me to call the help desk which seems a bit unnecessary in this day and age.

I did find a form to fill out to port a number but it insists on sending me a new SIM, I want to use the one I already have.

Gave up and rang the help desk.

I discovered that their website on this was quite difficult, everywhere about joining telecom was either trying to sell me a new phone, or at best order a new sim. The self service could do with improvement - "My Telecom" is still a postpaid only service and the access to prepaid one was difficult to find.
Even then the portal seems to pale compared to Skinny and 2Degrees, i can easily change or bring my number over easily with theirs.

Every now and then i'm assisting someone with one of the 3 telcos (or the token MVNO skinny, the rest of the MVNOs arent worth mentioning), it's not always my account i'm dealing with. Though i often get people to move when i think its appropriate for them, it's not always ideal.
