Not a huge issue but I was wondering what other BigPipe VDSL users were getting in the ping department?
My connection is 3 days old now and so far I've been extemely pleased with it. On day 1 and 2 I was getting an incredible 11-12 ping on all the tests I did on speedtest.net and anywhere from 25-35 ping on CS:GO servers.
However, starting Friday night I was getting 29-42 on speed tests and 45-70 on CS:GO servers. I understand weekends see heavier traffic so can I expect <20 ping come monday-thursday and >30 during the weekends or is there something else going on here?
I had some torrents running on the first or second day but not since. Is it possible my connection has been throttled due to this usage? Again I completely understand torrent traffic being given lower priority for other traffic, it's only fair, but that shouldn't mean my entire connection is throttled for the duration of service.
I've also had my modem turned off at night to keep my room free of extra lighting so it's not like it doesn't get restarted or overheated.
The difference between 10 and 40 ping is fairly negligible for most usage but it can certainly make a difference in competitive gaming. I don't see why else it would change from something so low.
