Hey, so I'm looking at moving from Orcon UFB due to the poor browsing at night and twitch failing to stream then also...

With the UFB Unlimited plan, how badly does traffic shaping effect the service?

Is twitch.tv watchable past 7PM?   (Won't on Orcon, works on 3G...)

How's gaming?  Packet loss, pings etc?

If anyone has used both the 150GB plan and unlimited were your experiences any different?

With gaming and stream on unlimited i highly doubt it will aftect the most basic browsing.

I cant comment on Spark's network but i have never seen a Vodafone customer affected by peak time usage on UFB Fibre.

I've got 100mbit unlimited on Spark and have never noticed any speed / latency changes even during peak. They're not doing any traffic management at the moment, it is more if the whole network gets rooted with punters on Unlimited they can limit things a notch so it doesn't break their network.

I am on the Fibre 100 unlimited plan, and have no issues with ping (sub-10ms to most NZ servers, high-20s to AU, and 140ish to US West), packetloss, etc, Twitch & Youtube stream fine at all times. I'm yet to find any indication that traffic is being shaped (I was on the 500GB plan previously for comparison).

Thanks for your replies.  Have arranged to change over to Spark when my 30 day notice is up with Orcon.
