Hello everyone I'd like to ask some advice regarding my current speed which is below the plan I switched to less then a week ago I made a screenshot from my router/modem page of the dsl stats which I hope can help you guys help me understand why and also my speedtest.net result

Edit: Also I went back to speedtest and looked up the result I got the day VDSL was connected which is on the following link
but the results were as following
31.08mbs download
9.51mbs upload

Are you testing over WiFi or Ethernet?

Test was done through cable so ethernet

Weird, no PeterReader response.

Your modem is syncing at ~35Mbps which is pretty decent for vdsl. Although your attenuation claims to be 0, which doesn't sound possible

Is the speed you have now consistent, or does it fluctuate either at different times of day or in different weather?

Have you double checked you aren't saturating your connection with other traffic - e.g. Windows updates, iCloud, torrents in the background, steam patches other people streaming video at the same time etc? (And same for any other people or devices you share the connection with)
And once you've double checked that, check it again just to be sure. Majority of cases like this end up being other traffic that the person wasn't aware of.

Well there are several smartphones connected to it through wireless also I do have a torrent going in the background only one though

Well, your speedtest is only going to get whatever is left over once those devices have used whatever bandwidth they need. Working as normal.

turn off wifi on the router, then stop everything that could be using bandwidth on the computer connected via ethernet.

then test again

doesnt look to be any issues with your connection at all

Well, your speedtest is only going to get whatever is left over once those devices have used whatever bandwidth they need. Working as normal.

If that even. Due to the overhead, you'll probably see even lower than the 'left over' bandwidth.
But yes, dont speedtest your network to check your line rates, and run p2p downloads at the same time ;)
