So I recently signed up with RaboDirect, and during the setup process they've been trying to contact me via mobile as its the only number I always have.

They try to ring, can't get a dial and then email me to call them back. Ive never encountered this problem and I have asked them to confirm the number, but I'm not sure if its a problem on their side or Sparks, as I don't even get a missed call notification or voicemail.

Edit: submitted too early

What should I do? Because obviously its important that my savings are with people who can at least ring me if need be.

In case it makes a diff, number is formatted as 0288 xxx xxxx

Has been on Spark for about 3 years now, and on other networks before that, but the number came from Black + White originally quite a long time ago.

Thanks in advance!

- Sam

I guess they've got a phone system that doesn't support 0288 in the dialplan. Not a lot you can really do except complain to them.

It's like people who create forms on websites and don't include 020 or 028 as mobile prefixes.

I would say it's nothing to do with Spark, it's everything to do with RaboDirect and you would have this issue no matter which provider you are with.

Not a great impression when a company can't get a basic thing like a phone system working correctly.

All is sorted now, so quick!

As said above the 0288 prefix wasn't added to their system, and apparently no one has used an 0288 number with them before so the issue was never noticed.

Excellent first impression though.

Thanks again everyone :)
