In a NZ Herald article this morning, Peter Griffin commented that new Telecom boss Paul Reynolds is:
"...happy about Telecom's move to shift its headquarters to Auckland, because the weather will be better there."
Personally I would like to see the headquarters in Dunedin, the colder weather might keep them at their desks more rather than the endless rounds of lattes in the streetside cafes.
How do the rest of you geeks feel about this? I appreciate that many of you are based in Wellington, isn't this a bit of a slap in the face for the windy city?
Of course, one could argue that Telecom executives can work from anywhere, with Wifi email, video conferencing, VoIP etc. - provided they're not upgrading the network...
