The funny thing is that from my desktop I have two email sending tools

The details are both

smtp.xtra.co.nz
port 25
Logon XXXX and Pass XXXX

Note logon : XXXX not XXXX@xtra.co.nz

The MS outlook works ok.

But my other tool has settings like this ( ie 25 after the :   )
smtp.xtra.co.nz:25
Logon XXXX and Pass XXXX  < ie the same as MS outlook>

This failed soon after xtra and yahoo married up.

Any ideas
- have ports changed
- have logon nature changed
