So I am booked in to switch my UFB connection from Spark to Big Pipe tomorrow and just got a call from Chorus to say that someone needs to be onsite tomorrow. Apparently a Chorus technician needs to get access to the property to "install and calibrate the modem" except there is no new modem to install as I am using my existing router.

Why would a Chorus technician need to do anything within the property when switching an existing UFB connection to a new provider? I am pretty sure when I switched from Orcon to Telecom about a year ago no one came out onsite, this switch just happened and I had to switch the login details in my router.

Is a site visit actually required or is this Chorus being Chorus?
