A different question this time about Flickr and Lightsurf:
One of the things that appealed to me about Flickr is being able to upload directly from your phone.
However, if you have a phone that uses Lightsurf - what appears to happen is when you send the email to the Flickr address, the full-size image is uploaded your Lightsurf photo gallery and a message sent on to your Flickr account with a thumbnail and a link. There seems to be no way to directly transfer the images over to Flickr (other than download as a zip file to your PC and then upload to Flickr)
I also thought, if I upload a set of photos direct to the Lightsurf gallery - then I could email them across the Flickr as a group. But, no, it just sends an email with a thumbnail of the first photo and a link to the slideshow on Lightsurf.
Having gone through all of this, I realised that the Lightsurf 'share by email' function is just as good as Flickr, if not easier to use for sender and receiver (the major downside is the Lightsurf doesn't work on most open-source browser - so far Konqueror is the only one I have found that displays the images)
Is there another way to get my phone photos onto Flickr that I have missed? (I know it can send photos to blog sites - can it collect them from other sites???)
Also, does Telecom plan to maitain Lightsurf as a seperate service from Flickr or to amalgamate at some time? and share some of the Lightsurf functionality with Flickr??
