I have been trying to port my number from skinny to spark. It has taken more than 2 weeks, i have not heard anything from them since I have submitted the form online. The only email i have was a generated order number that it had gone through.
I called them up 3 times, escalating the issue, the same answer everytime, the number port had failed and that they would resubmit it, when successful they would let me know.

3 days past and I suddenly don't have any signal on my phone.

I call spark customer service, they cant do anything, tell me to go to a spark store and purchase another sim card or wait for the another sim card to be sent that would take 5 working days, which i have already purchased online

yes, great service spark.

If you use online chat they should be able to sort you. If you don't get any joy email me "pl at spark.co.nz" with all the details and I will see what I can do tomorrow.

Happened to me as well, given up on it after waiting around 2weeks for it. :/

You can just reply to the confirmation email you get when you order it online for a 'cancellation and refund'.

EDIT : yea, Spark, please fix your online orders.

I think the OP was trying to order one via the Online Store and have it posted out.

If the OP had simply gone to any one of the many stores that sell SIM cards these days and had that before attempting a "port" (which isn't really a port anyway as it's not really moving between networks) the whole process would have taken a few minutes and been complete 14 days ago. There have been many complaints about their online store, it seems to be a bit of a mess.

I think you are the one that is not smart enough to not able understand that the OP is trying to get this done online.

I always do this online when porting between spark and voda. It is much easier. I found that filling the form at the shop can take a very long time and end up wasting too much time. If you do it online, it takes me 3 days to get the.

I ported my phone between vodafone and spark at least 4 times last year.

We could debate that point, as Skinny is an MVNO separate from Spark. There are most certainly industry porting systems at play here. Regardless, as far as the customer is concerned they are moving from Skinny to Spark, so a port ;)

correct, i know that i could of gone to a store and have it done within minutes.

It was more convenient online, and have done so many times from vodafone to 2degrees. I was also able to setup a specific date for it to happen as i wanted to finish up my credit with skinny (now, i have lost all my credit on skinny)

Now that I have got my sim. My number can recieve calls, but can't call because i don't have any credit! I can't top up as it says my number is not a spark number...

Just got off talking to spark, and they told me to wait till this afternoon or tomorrow.

all i want is communication, I know i'm not a top paying customer, so i know i won't get any exceptions. Im just saying i've worked in the industry before and was in the porting team. Im sure its not hard to call or even send a sms saying that the port has been submitted?
