Hi,
I am one of these people that use my Xtra.co.nz email address regularly using Webmail. 
Since Friday (28/11/14), every 5th or 6th email I receive has a "missing body". 

These emails can be from anyone personal or marketing from vendors like Grabone or even Amazon order confirmation emails. 

Both on Webmail and on my Yahoo Mail App on Android the body / content will be missing. 

I have discussed this with Spark, got escalated to Yahoo mail and they logged a case acknowledging the problem. I was told a mailbox refresh is required and it will happen in six hours and I should be fixed. 

Monday morning - still the same issue. 
Does anyone here use Yahoo Xtramail ? and do they have any similar problems?

I have had no problems at all, either with the Yahoo Xtra webmail or my Android app.  Also have had a range of senders; personal, LinkedIn, marketing, newsletters etc......

I had some issues with the android app on Saturday with it failing to load the body for a few non-plaintext emails, but seemed to come right pretty quick, and webmail / POP3 client was not affected.

That is very similar to my issue, although mine is still ongoing now. 
For the ones that you had a problem with, are they now showing the body? 
For me - any email that does not have body remain that way.

Random problem here only seems to be on Yahoo mail app on my Galaxy the same email loads/works o/k on outlook or using Samsung email app on my wife's phone

Spoke to Spark on Chat today and they have confirmed the issue to be widespread for various accounts. 
Their email service status is RED and it is being investigated on why some emails are having missing Body. 

What does this tag do

Yes - a colleague is having this problem.
Also some messages seemed to be appearing on iPhone as encrypted or at least in some strange encoding.

Same here, every 4th and 5th email have this issue. They (Spark support) have finally agreed there is an issue and hoping to have it resolved. Meanwhile I changed some of my core accounts to send to my gmail.

No she hasn't reported it, any suggestions on the best way? Probably won't worry as she can't stand dealing with support (left her home broadband not working for a few months because didn't want to deal with support)

Six emails so far today with no body. Fortunately for me none of them are important.
No update from Spark support yet. It is really frustrating to keep chasing them everyday.
Absolutely no update on their website or ETA.

Jeez...sometimes the customer service experience loves to put the boot in.

I have had this very same issue as reported here randomly over the last week.
I have polled my Xtra / Yahoo email pals and they too are experiencing same issues.
No one has had time to complain.

Random empty messages and emails filled with gibberish
such as - Ív襢úM~„8RY&Lj2OôeŽ¿ÏŠ¤Bu

Too busy this time of year to mess around much so have just been deleting the emails and where possible contacting the sender to resend or in the case of digest type emails just accepting that that one is a goner.
Tried a couple of times restting back to classic mode and purging temp and cookies, but issue remains.

So I awhile back I activate Sparkys chat to report the matter. Was 20th in the queue and chuckled while it said the average wait ranged from 3 minutes to 9 minutes as I slowly clocked down over half an hour,  eventually I was 1st !!! in the queue.
I waited expectedly.

Then they pulled the plug...
