I'm with Telstra/Vodafone on the shore and it died around the same time. Happened to plenty of other around Auckland too so most likely an issue with Chorus.

Down here in Meadowbank too.

The outage is fine, these things happen. But I spent an hour on hold to try to find out if it was isolated or not - and they still haven't updated Twitter or their service status page! Major incident management fail.

Having the same issue in my area but I am with Spark. Wonder what happen to the call back service with the help desk. I guess the staff are taking a long coffee break so don't disturb.

Multiple ISP's are reporting problems with UFB customers across parts of Auckland.

Symptom would be alike to no authentication or data flow.

Is anyone/everyone else still down? There's been no update since 10pm last night - is this really how Spark handles information in these sorts of outages?

Mine is still completely dead this morning...

I love how the story is one of the leading articles in the NZ Herald this morning, yet Spark's support page is incredibly vague...   "There *may* be a problem, *possibly* effecting some customers..."

...I called faults last night and gave up after not getting through for quite some time.  The IVR was reporting that technicians were working on the problem as a priority, yet 12hrs later they still can't even update their support page to confirm that there is in fact a problem?

Gosh I love paying for "premium" service like this ;-)

Mrs Ensoll: "I was hoping to get some Christmas chopping done online this morning, and I woke up and we still weren't back on," Mrs Ensoll said.

Reminds me I need to do some Christmas chopping :)

Don't the media know the difference between Spark and Chorus yet?

"Chorus said the fault happened in the Mayoral Drive exchange about 8.30pm and was fixed after 18 minutes."

"Are you affected by the Spark outage? Email us - er, when you can -  here."

Chorus had the outage and Spark customers were affected (along with many others).
