I guess it could end up being me changing number to a not so easy to dial one but ... *SIGH all good things come to an end

I've been getting angry texts a month or so ago from AKL DVD store to return DVDs.

Last night at 150am a Chinese dude rang me three times demanding that i pick up some bits from Manukau, then threatened verbally.

I'm going to the police as soon as possible ...

But just saying, beware guys!

Police won't give a damn based on my experience with them - reported something similar they didn't care, and didn't even follow up a car accident I reported (no injuries but I gave them the persons name and address). If you don't know them and they don't have your address the risk is pretty much zero.

the Chinese guy called from a blocked number. I'm sure he'll call again tonight. Might try to convince him. But chances are it's going to happen again with another fella calling me ...

Skinny said they can block it once i have FOUR calls under 1 min or 4 unreplied txts or a combination.

I have had three, so if he rings tonight skinny can action, but i guess the point is still it'll happen again ...

*sigh ... how much do i want to keep this number

I was allocated a (POTS) number when I shifted once that had been previously used by the local Dairy. Used to get calls from suppliers all the time.
After month of asking both parties to change their records I gave up. If a supplier called with any offer I'd accept it.
Problem solved itself pretty quickly after that.

Surely it is just a simple case of blocking the unwanted callers in your phone. This can often be done in your phone setup, or there are third party apps that can do it for you.

They don't have any information about you, your name, or where you live etc, so just block the unwanted numbers and carry on as normal. Problem will then go away / self resolve.

I have an easy to remember number too, and would have no intention of allowing some low life to take that away from me!
