Received an email from Skinny this morning, which included the following inticing tidbit:

"We will be hitting the ground running in 2015 and are excited to let you know that Rollover Data will be launching on selected Combos!"

Does anyone know which combos this will be? I'm assuming they'll do it to at least match the equivalent of 2 Degrees', eg the $16 equivalent of 2 Degrees' $19 prepay plan.

This is excellent news - it's the only thing I miss from my days with 2 Degrees, given I find reception is better in the areas that count (eg at work) on Spark's network.

maybe I'm asking for the moon ... but data sharing would be nice too ;p coz my wife uses more data than me!

The first of the proper telcos* that just lets me get a whole lot of sims, with a whole lot of data shared between them will get my business. I am sick of swapping sims around because I am out on the phone but the tablet or hotspot have heaps left because so many stupid things are reliant on your phone number (cough ASB bank cough)

I was going to take my sims I dont use a lot over to vodafone to get data accumulating, but this may make me re-think that.

(* not the network with lots of EDGE coverage that falls back to)

Will the extra data from the free 3GB sign up bonus be carrying over also?

No, but the bonus data will be used first so it is more likely that data left at the end of the month will be from your Combo and therefore available to carry over.

No it is only the Combos listed.  Remember though that data only plans already have up to 180 days expiry.

wierd.

but my $16 combo renewed without rollover data. I had something over 800MB which 500MB (plan data) + 500MB (bonus data) and it looked like I used ~250MB of bonus data during the last 30 days.

Should not standard 500MB rolled over to new month? Skinny shows I have 500MB only...

Minutes is rolled over, all fine.

Thanks.
