No I would say the Sanyo is the least value for money...it's a redesigned 6600 for $100 more.  No spec changes at all.

Fantasy! lol.. Envy. lol lol lol!!!,,, bad names.

6650 sucks, the keypad is impossibly stiff, squashed together and unresponsive, The display has also shrunk in size considerably to look like "we could have put in a larger size but decided to cust costs" but Sanyo have finally fixed the viewing angle. Camera is also only VGA 640x480.
The phone is of such a design (shiny plastic) that it will looked like a scratched up mess within a month, at least this phone has ample internal memory but the usual issue of not being able to get your pictures out of it (unless there is something I have missed.) I much prefer the 6600 even though it was such a basic phone. It has a good "usabaility" feel to it.

The cheaper samsung M300 "Fantasy" is almost the same as the Sanyo 3200, so similar it's just a joke. The T9 messaging is fixed at long last however. still only a VGA camera and almost no internal memory however and no memory card.

The more expensive samsung is ok, Nice shape, nothing special to write home about, it DOES have MicroSD support which is really a must in a phone of any price nowdays.
Keypad is actually a pain though even though it looks sort of flat and fancy, I miskeyed all the time as it's got a real sweet spot with how hard you press the keys and if you press one too close to the edge, the adjecent key goes down, little "Braille" bumps would have made this an ideal keypad. Display is OK and it fills athe area well Lacklustre camera performance too compared to w531 and the videomode is a bad joke. (W531 video was so smooth!) and of course, too expensive....

I hve not tested the call quality on these phones as I only got a brief play on Friday.

The 3200 has distortion in the speaker mode due to some internal gain setting being set too high though earpeice audio is clear.

The 6650 distorts on everything. AVOID!

My favourties atill are the Sanyo M1, the Nokia 6275 and HTC Titan.
lower costs point would consider Nokia 6165i 6235 and Sanyo 3200

About getting photos out of the 6650, there is a bit of a hint on 'mobile phone camera resolution' found in the CDMA forum.  That may help...

Well, I am back at work this week, popped in last Monday to show off something to Mrs Boss, and was told I had six new phones to learn about - just different colours maybe?  As long as I don't have to hand the M1 over for something new...  (Actually, I am last on the list for a new phone now, and next in line doesn't want to swap the Samsung Blade over for anything new, and she was offered the groove - before we sent them all back...)  I might get a quiet moment tomorrow to give you my humble opinion.

Hope the 6650 has better ringtones than the 6600....................

I note on the Telecom site that it doesn't mention downloadable ringtones, either.

Keep the M1, it's a great phone. The 6650 is a total new system from sanyo I must admit, placed into a bery bad casing with a lack of memory. the the 6600 ringtones are totally useless I agree.

You can send ringtones to your phone using some online tools, I'll create a Blog on it.

The pink 6650 is a bit much on the outside, better on the inside, but I still prefer the white (ice) 6600.  Havent seen the green samsung envy yet...  The red samsung fantasy is, according to the girls is more the guys phone, the silver one the chick-mobile..,  Plus I have to remember which phone is which of the two samsungs...  bit of a nuisance really.  Wish they'd stick just to numbers...  And I haven't heard any ringtones yet...  roll on the blog, Paradoxsm...

I don't really get why the Katana's are so popular...Maybe it was because they are cheap and thin...But I just don't like Sanyo software myself, not that its crashy or anything, just doesn't seem intuitive at all...People like the M1...But IMO the buttons are terrible and are hard and plasticy but have no real click plus it looks like a brick

Why can't Telecom Bring over the MotoQ, the RAZR2 and the Km1  - I know they are all motorola phones...but they are all on the sprint network...so why not bring them here..?
