Hi All, Got my first pxt phone (W531) and received pxts fine for the first week until I activated my online gallery. Since then no pxts have been coming through to my phone, but they are all waiting in the gallery inbox. Have I missed a setting or option somewhere?

Cheers Steve

If I remember correctly, the online gallery takes over Photo recieving duties therefore all your photos from now on will automatically come into the Inbox on the gallery.

On Gallery is just a service that allows you to check your albums and inbox. It does not affect ability to receive photomessages on the device itself.

Chances are given that specific model number, there may be an issue receiving photo messages to that device. You may want to log a case with mobile faults.

If i remember correctly on my Crappy TX130c you could only use the online gallery once you've set it up you can no longer recieve photo messages to your mobile you had to access the WAP browser and you could download the photos from there.

If you want to discuss the trademark issues of 'PXT' etc, I would recommend opening a new thread specifically to discuss this as discussing it here is a tad off topic.

On topic:
Despite having online gallery enabled (the 'gallery' is there from day 1, all one does is enable web access), you should still receive messages on the phone (It works fine on other handsets, including another W531).

Did you just start receiving the notices at random or did you get telecom to send them?  I just sent myself a picture message of the fan in the front office.  Very exciting.  It came straight through to my Sanyo M1.  I might send one to the boss's W531 and see how it goes.  Can you browse the mobile internet from your phone?  I wonder if the settings are okay...  (hey, you havent unlocked it, have you?)  LOL

Had a guy in-store with the same problem this arvy!  Rang Telecom's data help desk.  (Menu 3, if I remember...)  0800400909.  I was directed to remove the battery and wait 2 mins before replacing it and switching it on.  Then I re-nammed it (or re-programmed the mobile phone number into it...)  Then I sent a picture to another phone,, had to 'register the account', which was just the 'continue' button.  This time it didn't go to error.  The photo sent okay but silly me sent it to myself instead of another of the staff, so I did not get a notification to receive while I was on the phone to data!  Next we checked the in-box and all but one of the thumbnails were showing.  so he got some but not all photos.  However, he does have the number of the phone that sent them, so they can resend if they are desperate.  However, I think data were going to re-provision it and he had to remove the battery at 6 tonight, leave it off for five minutes this time.  (don't ask me why!?!)  And then if he was still having problems he could phone them because they are there until 8 at night.  Which means they are probably going to 'fix' it when it ain't broke!  Also the help desk lady said this was the second person with the same problem today that she had had.  At least it doesn't have to be a telegistics event!

I just sent myself a pile of "Pxts" aka "SMIL MMS Multimedia Messages" from and to about 5 phones today.

The W531 failed to receive the first message stating "please register your photo account now" which succeeded then the inbox link showed "Message not found" but the remaining 4 messages than came through worked fine.

The second W531 (test phone) worked fine

The 6275 got the images all as ridiculously tiny 240 x 120 pixels! Even the low-end 2355 and 6165 gets VGA sized images.

The remaining phones, The Nokia's 6155, 2355 and 6235 all got the images with no issues and in full 640 x 480 resolution.
