I'm not sure what hardware to buy for Bigpipe's Elite 200/200 Mbps Plan.
I've been looking at the ASUS RT-AC66U, I don't know if it's even compatible.

> I like the idea of a shared USB HDD connected to the router
> Max 5 Wireless connection at anyone time
> Max 3 Ethernet connection at anyone time

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Budget is around $300

Network Capability Map - Chorus

Benchmark Drive, Massey, Auckland
Network capability:
UFB fiber up to 200 Mbps
Broadband > 20 Mbps (with the right modem and plan)

Although ISP's don't offer fiber in my area, the street looks ready. Fingers crossed it will be soon.

It's compatible I was using that exact model on BigPipe. The model will work regardless of the plan you choose.

In terms of the router, that would be overkill for most people. Will you be using the max amount of ethernet ports? Is the USB HDD a large priority?

The NF8AC (pretty much the NF4V without VoIP) is a cheaper alternative and fits the requirements for most people. In saying this as long as you get a router that can handle speeds of 200/200 you'll be fine :)

NF4V without VoIP but with wireless AC additionally.

Make it decent though, while this chart doesn't have every model of router ever, it gives you an idea that there are quite a few devices that can't do 200Mbps WAN -> LAN throughput. Google cache link since the site is down
