Hopefully someone can guide me.

I did have a 120 modem connected to a Netgear WNDR3700 wireless router on which I was running Gargoyle. I've ADSL, not VDSL or Fibre

The modem died and as a quick fix I've slapped in Sparks Huawei HG630b and using that as the modem and wireless router.

I do like how easy it was to get the 630 up and running - really simple as.

BUT - it doesn't seem to have any management features that I have with Gargoyle. And I haven't been able to connect the PlayStation to it yet though this is a minor issue and it was late so I was probably doing something wrong..

So First question is: Can I link the 630 to my Netgear wireless router and turn off the 630 wireless thus using it simply as a modem.

If I cant do this is the Vigor 120 still the modem to get it has it been superseded by something. I need a modem that will connect to the WNDR

Buy a 130 as that supports VDSL as well.

Thanks very much folks - could you please PM me on how much you would like for your 120's and I'll get back to you. Don't think I need a 130 - not heading down the VDSL path for some time as we have a plenty fast enough ADSL connection.

That particular contest will grow less and less interesting as more UFB is rolled out.

Great forum!! seems I have a replacement. So to challenge timA. Lost internet approx 1.00pm sunday (no internet light on modem but ADLS was solid). rang Spark (must stop calling them Telecom). Call centre tries to resolve at their end, apparently can see modem. They fiddle around for an hour then no solid ADSL light. 4.30pm tech arrives at door step. Internet at street - tick. Internet at gate tick, splitter - hmm a problem. Out with cable fault locator. Fault within 40 M of gate. Need chorus. Chorus #1 arrives 9.30am Monday and #2 about an hour later. 3.30pm they leave having dug up the drive and found two faults in cable. Repaired. Internet up to modem. given choice: get Spark tech in for $140 (non supported Telecom modem) or see if modem works. Blow it, pop down to spark shop and pick up Huawei modem router for half price. Problem solved. Can't fault the service
