Hi,
Recently acquired a treo 600, set up everything. Mobile internet works fine - but I was wondering - how do I access the telecom WAP? More specifically, if I want to check a movie time through telecoms service - how would I do so? Any help would be greatly appreciated

The Treo 600 does not have WAP.

your comment that the troe 600 does not have wap is incorrect.
access to the net is via a browser on cell phones it is by a browser made specially for mobiles which by default accesses content from wap sites but can also view normal web content . on pda's running internet explorer wap can also be accessed . you will need to type in the full wap address which must end with the (.wml ) extension. give that a try.

What nzbnw is referring to is the WAP profile - which does not exist on PDA's or mobile broadband data cards. He can view sites with wml content but this is not the same as 'connecting via wap' - its a regular internet connection.

Because its not a 'wap connection', he won't be able to access the Xtra WAP site.  Going back on topic, the original post is asking how to access Telecoms WAP and the movie service on it - since PDA's don't have WAP profiles - they cannot connect to Xtras WAP site.

Kind of off the WAP topic, Opera web browser for the Treo 600 works very well for formatting standard web pages for the Treo.

Cheers, Matt

THanks for the help There are third party WAP browsers available for the treo though. If I was able to download this, in theory i should still be able to access the wap content? Sorry for the nagging, but this is quite important for my job - ideally i need to test whether some wap listings (moves, tv etc) are functioning
