stone2: That sounds good. Sorry for so many questions but do you think their supplied fibre modems are any good? You get one free if you sign for 12 months. Naked Fibre 30 unlimited sounds like a great deal which makes me suspicious, they are a Telco after all. ;)

You could try and find out , and if it doesn't meet your requirements purchase another for yourself from elsewhere and then on sell the "free" one
I am on Spark Vdsl (fibre not available where i live yet ) and are happy with the supplied modem i received when the install happened over a year ago now which was also "free"
wasabi2k: The spark Technicolor one I had struggled with 20Mbps VDSL and torrents - crashed and rebooted.
With Fibre the input is a standard RJ45 copper - so you can use literally ANY router that supports VLANs and PPPOE.
As in other threads Mikrotik are awesome for the price but quite complicated.
I just keep the Spark one in a box in case I need support.

must have had a dud,
62/10 vdsl, great wifi coverage and speed (streams HD fine), no crashes/reboots, and happily runs torrents.

Entirely possible - but ramp up the number of connections on your torrent client and watch it explode :)

125 per torrent, 15 active torrents so almost 2000 there.
there is really no reason to have any more, and my settings are probably overkill but they are from when i was on ADSL
You must have had a dud
