Just saw this on facebook. This will help a few students wallets at the expensive start of the year.

COME IN STORE TO SCORE A FREE BOOST FOR YOUR PREPAID PACK
If you're on our $19 or $29 Value Pack, head down to your
nearest Spark store. Just bring your Student ID and we'll add
500MB of monthly data and unlimited calling to Spark
mobiles and landlines. All on top of your pack for FREE!

http://www.spark.co.nz/shop/mobile/deals/student

Only for the $19 and $29 value prepaid packs, and not the $19 music pack either. This must be the new thing that they hinted they would announce this week.

SparkNZ replied to a different thread about the student offer and said it was only 250mb extra.
I went in-store today and the poster there said it was 250mb extra.
I'm on the $19/month music plan and signed up today. It should be active tomorrow. They didn't say it wasn't available on the $19/mo music plan.
Will be interesting to see if I get an extra 250mb or 500mb.

You should get the 500mb according to the Spark Facebook account, several other people asked the same thing. That's good news aswell about the music pack, makes it one of the best value $19 packs around.

This has been mentioned here before, so not sure it's anything to do with the new stuff hinted at.

The original offer was an extra 250MB and Unlimited Spark to Spark calling, it has since been upgraded further to 500MB instead of 250MB. Calling remains the same.

Is that unlimited calling to Spark mobiles, and to any NZ landlines, or unlimited calling to Spark mobiles and Spark landlines?

I naturally assumed spark mobile only as that was all they had done in the past eg free telecom summer calling. This is a great deal if you are a student, pity the rest can't get in on this.

Noteworthy is that this does not work on the $19 music pack, only the $19 "value pack".
