The BigPipe website has what I assume is an error for the refer a friend promo. If you visit the FAQ https://www.bigpipe.co.nz/#/home?a=faqs , check out "Terms", and look at the entry for "Where can I find the terms and conditions for the iTunes Refer-a-Friend promotion?" it says "between 1st September 2014 and 1st December 2014" or similar in a few different places which suggests the promotion has ended.

However per a February Twitter post I just noticed, it seems this promotion is still running. https://twitter.com/BigPipeNZ/status/563864688400674816 .

May I suggest you update the T&C as plenty of people like me may assume it's over and not bother trying/asking? (And yes I know this isn't an official support forum, but for this sort of thing, it seemed more likely to reach the right people faster.)

In my case it's too late :-( Both me and my friend were on BigPipe together for over a month, but now it's only my friend. I moved to Spark as I wanted a phoneline and Spark door to door offered me an unlimited VDSL+phoneline deal that was better than even BigPipe + VoIP line. Still I'm sure others will benefit, including those who may not have referred a friend otherwise.

(I guess this is similar to the first month free promo you've extended a few times. The T&C for the first month free also needs an update, but that's a bit less confusing since it's advertised when signing up etc.)

Cheers

thanks for that.  Yep, definitely still running and definitely out of date.  Whoops.

We're just going through a bit a refresh on all our website content, as well as updating our refer a friend process - so I'll pass that on to the product manage and should get fixed pretty soon.

Thanks.

Will this refresh include the activation of the rest of the Account page's features?

Nope, that comes later.

But you should have all that info in your emails anyway - so tbh whilst we want to do it, and there are some elements we will be adding sooner than others, we only have limited development resource and we don't see it as a top priority right now, having researched it with our customers.

One of the reason's we made Bigpipe the way it is, is so that you don't need to be logging in to check various things on your account.

There's no data cap to check up on, your bill is the same amount every month, the same date every month, gets paid automatically, and you get email notifications about it.

Nope, (it's also one of those things that is annoying for only a very small number of people - so gets a fairly low priority in the backlog I'm afraid)

The workaround is to use gmail since you get effectively infinite email addresses that all go to the same mailbox

So, for example, if your gmail address is richmsisawesome@gmail.com but you wanted 3 x Bigpipe accounts at home, office, and bach you could sign up for three accounts using richmsisawesome+bigpipehome@gmail.com, richmsisawesome+Bigpipeoffice@gmail.com richmsisawesome+Bigpipebach@gmail.com  and all your emails eould go to the richmsisawesome@gmail.com inbox, but you can sort and filter them by the address

Is that first month free deal going to be around a while? My SNAP contract is up in a few months and I'm weighing up their VDSL unlimited plan vs. Bigpipe's. I like SNAP but I'm not a fan of the two year contract requirement for upgrading my plan to unlimited.
