Hi all,

I'm having a small issue with our Bigpipe account. We just signed up under my flatmate's email address, but he's going away for a while and we're having issues with our connection, so I wanted to try and change our contact email so that I can be in touch with Bigpipe on his behalf. However, as we just switched none of our contact details are showing under our account. It just says 'coming soon'. To make it more difficult, the reason I need to be in contact with Bigpipe is because our old provider (Slingshot) never received a request for transfer from them, so we're still with Slingshot.

So basically we have no connection with Bigpipe yet, which means I can't change the account details to get in touch with Bigpipe, to get a connection with Bigpipe! Any help?

Send them a message on the support form explaining the above? - You don't need to be logged in to do so.

I did send them an support form message but it asks to use the email address that you signed up to Bigpipe with, which is my flatmate's. Guess I'll send them another and just use mine.

In order to add contacts or transfer the account over to someone else we'll need to have contact from your flatmate to begin with. Is there a way to get him to send an email to us to get this process started (if they haven't done so already)?

PM me the details and I'll have a look for you too.

Mentioned in the previous post, but you can use our support form which you don't need to be logged in for too.

As Flikkky says,  we'll need the email from your flatmate, the one who started the account to verify the identity.

as I'm sure you understand, for security reasons we can't just take someone's word for it that they are an authority on the account.

We need the original account holder to verify that they accept you as the new account holder.

We don't yet have that functionality inbuilt into our website, but you can do it by submitting a support request
https://www.bigpipe.co.nz/#/support?a=send-message

and select 'change my email or mobile details'   We'll then reply to the account holder we have on file and they will need to reply to us, from their email address, that they accept you taking over the account.

Hi both,

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. I've sent a support form ticket in as suggested to ask you guys to confirm with flatmate that it's okay to add my email as a contact. Hopefully he can get around to actually doing it because I have no idea when he gets back from his trip!

Is there anyway someone could look into our provider switch issue for us in the meantime, without me being an authorised account contact?
