As per title. If this changes I will change this post.

If a friend told you Spark is shaping, they are wrong.
If your IT supplier told you Spark is shaping, they are wrong.
If Sparks own helpdesk told you that we are shaping, then they too are wrong.

Many things affect Broadband performance, not least of which your home network, Chorus' network and the sites you are visiting.

One thing that isn't affecting it is Spark doing any shaping. Our network isn't perfect, and there are of course things that happen which can reduce performance from time to time (fibre cuts, planned maintenance etc) - but no shaping.

I hope a forum mod can make this a sticky - I'm getting tired typing it out every time someone has a problem and goes straight to "OMG must be shaping".

Cheers - N

Update 28 Jan 2019.

ADSL/VDSL/Fibre haven't changed.

I don't know about Unplan wireless as it's not my area. I will see what I can find out this week. I suspect however it's the same answer.

Cheers - N
