So I've now seen this happen with two different countries, and wondered if this is normal as I can't see it in the T&Cs

If I'm in OZ or Fiji I'm charged $1 a minute to incoming calls. The problem is I'm also charged $1 for all calls that end up on voicemail or where I cancel the call on my phone.

Anyone else experienced this?

It's normal.

You get charged up to 2 minutes max.

This is how it works as you are charged for calls to "return" to your home country...

Never had this happen when roaming on Vodafone / 2Degrees / Spark.

It would be good to highlight it. Just had my house alarm go off and ring me 12-15 times before we managed to reset it.

It happens on these other operators too but I am told some may zero rate the return leg of the call.

It doesn't happen on 2degrees because we don't allow late call forwards (the ones that happen after phone has begun to ring) to voicemail while international roaming. Early call forwards - phone off, or unconditional divert to voicemail - don't cause the call to be switched to the international network, so those ones are OK, and don't cost you any money.

Interestingly I was still being charged when the phone was switched off.
