I see my "new" 700wx doesn't have MMS in the Messaging app and, looking at this previous thread and doing a rough google, it sounds like this isn't supported anyway.  So what are my options (apart from all the hacks listed on the web)?  Am I meant to send MMS messages through the Outlook app or do I need to find a 3rd party app to do this?

So I'll need to set my Xtra POP details for this?  (I'm new to the wonderful world of WM5 and Telecom)

I don't know but i would assume so. why not give Telecom a call on how to set it up? or check with the fellow WM5-Telecom users (like Brad)

Yes, and be sure to get yourself a data plan if you haven't already and wish to use more than 1MB / month.

I heard my name!!

There is no way to get MMS working with Windows Mobile devices on Telecom.

To set up email you need to go to messaging > options > new account.

The xtra seetings are:
Incoming: pop3.xtra.co.nz:995
Outgoing: send.xtra.co.nz:465

Also make sure under advanced settings you have checked SSL for both incoming and outgoing as well as outgoing authentication.

Then you can change other settings such as manual send/receive, do not delete messages from server and keep all downloaded messages.

Any other questions just post them here.

Odd.... I didnt hear anyone cry out "SHEEPLUVVA" ?

Hate to say it, but Brad is right - no MMS on Windows Mobile devices on the CDMA network here.

Emailing photos is possible, its exactly the same as emailing to and from a PC email account. (i.e. you still cant get pics to and from a normal phone easily.)

There is a way, it involves the Arcsoft MMS program and a custom profile on the network, now we just need a dodgy insider at Telecom!!
