My internet just all of a sudden got very slow.

Takes ages to load anything, downloads going at 200 bytes per second

Anybody else?

I am in Wellington.

Something to do with the weather?

post your modem stats, have you tried restaring your modem and your devices, what are your speedtests like? wired or wireless?

How do I post my modem stats?

Just restarted modem + laptop now and the same problem.

I am using Wireless.

Speedtest has now been loading for over 5 minutes so don't think I can even get a test done lol. Seems like most websites take an extra second or two to load.

Spotify is streaming fine however.

I was just on Skype for an hour or so, I wasn't in a call with anybody, just logged on but maybe I got DDosed (If that's the correct terminology and if that's possible?)

Try it over a wired connection - wireless can be prone to interference (and slowdowns).

200 bytes per second? That's 200 B/s faster than my UFB is going at the moment :(
(Not with Spark, just going for the sympathy vote for some reason)

Doing wired now, nothing has changed.

Spotify/Youtube are going fine.

It seems to be downloads are going extremely slow, I cant play any games online, some websites wont load (Speedtest for example).

I guess I'll restart everything once again, maybe I have caught a virus of some kind who knows.

Very slow for me here in South Auckland as well,
I can't even get the Speedtest site to load properly.

I changed my DNS settings to Google, but that didn't help.

The Geekzone site loads snappily, so it must be something to do with overseas sites.

Yep ditto in Otahuhu. Some things are fine most things are not so good. speedtest.net takes AGES to load and then doesn't really load enough to do a test. NZ/AU/US ubuntu mirrors I can pull an ISO at max speed for me (~10Mbps). DNS issue? Spark under attack again? gonna try a different DNS server now...

Thanks for the three above replies, well im glad to know its not just me with a problem.

I have just tried using two different laptops and my phone.

Tried the Laptops with both Wireless and Ethernet connected cable, same issue.

Went to Speedtest on my phone, the website not the app, and again it wouldn't load.

Just tried to go to Twitch because the above poster couldn't, and it wont load for me either.

So I wonder if the weather has knocked something out?

Can anyone reach arduino.cc?

I can reach it on 4G not on Spark ADSL.

Change of DNS server to google didn't help.

Oh never mind. I just checked the Spark broadband service status and "It's all running smoothly." so that's good.
