Hi
This doubt came in my mind.
When Telecom was there, XTRA was part of it.
Since they split into Chorus, Spark and xtra mailis taken over by yahoo, can one be able to keep his/her xtra email id even after leaving the SPARK as his ISP?

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

MackinNZ: For $10.00 per month you could have Office 365

BarTender: Typically your email account is closed a week or so after the last service has been closed off. Some people I know have slipped through the cracks but normally people get shutdown as soon as their account is closed. Or transfer it to a Mobile account if you still have a Spark mobile account.
You can move it to another customer if they have broadband service and don't have an existing Xtra account against their account.
Otherwise it's $20 from memory to keep a dialup account going to keep the xtra account alive.

Sub Account. We can't move a parent account, i.e. me@xtra.co.nz that is currently a base username, or an email account, to be a Sub Account. Understandable, otherwise everyone would do that. If you have a sub account and you cancel it, its gone burger, cannot be reactivated. Once the suspension period has lapsed, I assume thats still 30 days.
Wheelbarrow, I am pretty sure thats not correct. In the early days, circa Aug 18 2007.... it may have been while that project was in transition. Im 99% on that, but happy to be corrected.
Now, maybe it was an alias. Yahoo doesnt do aliases but we migrated them over. An alias can be cancelled, and re used as a Sub Account, I assume as for Yahoo that doesnt do aliases, or aliases as we had them imported, so it had no Yahoo based audit trail, hence it could be removed and set as a sub account.
