Question for BigPipeNZ

Does BigPipe support RFC4638 like Spark does for ppp MTU 1500?

Hi Runningman I've read that thread already and I don't see an answer to my question in there.

It makes no mention of whether BigPipe supports PPP-max-payload.

It doesn't specifically answer the RFC4638 question, but it does imply MTU of 1492 is required, which means not getting the 1500 you are wanting...

That could be due to the CPE not supporting ppp-max-payload.

Or maybe the guy doesn't know how to configure their router to enable the feature.

Since Spark supports RFC4638 I was hoping some of that technical knowledge was transferred to BigPipe.

I believe our kit does support it, but we haven't enabled it yet, and it would require a bit of work to do so.

For posterity, I don't think my CPE supports RFC4638 as a client, although it can support it when running as a PPPoE server :)
