On the Skinny website the FAQ states : Unfortunately Skinny does not currently support call forwarding.

I would like to focus on the word currently, does this mean it is in the works or does it mean forget about it?

A bit of a deal breaker for me as I spend such large blocks of time working away.

Quite happy to work with domestic Call Forwarding but would prefer international.

So LivingSkinny or other knowledgeable entities - coming or not?

How about a hard divert to voice - I understand that if I'm overseas and let it ring out and divert I still pay roaming charges as it is seen as an international call at the point of connection. [based on overseas experience]

On most prepay accounts you can't do call FWD only on post pay.. Not sure about Vodafone though.

Hi, not clear why this is not in your plans.

Take my example, imagine I secure a 6 week on 2 week off job offshore.

With call divert available to me on a minimum $19 combo (for example) I could see myself continuing to pay $19 /mo even though I'm only here 75% of the time.

Roll over is only a month at a time so many times I would be only using a tiny fraction of my plan. And skinny are creaming it.

I'm happy (I can divert to an NZ landline and skype or another service picks up the slack of contacting me) skinny make money from me (and others on this board who are plainly interested).

Without it I have to consider an alternative. I was with Voda and they did it, didn't like their coverage.

I am with Three UK and Amaysim Australia and they do it.

I imagine the cost of doing it is trivial so what is your downside?

I'm sure you are not the final decision maker but how about making the case for this with those that can influence things?

All our calls forward to voicemail. We do have our message service whereby people hear your message but can't leave one. You could use that to provide your overseas contact details.

We are all about cutting away the extras to bring better prices to our customers. We have our combos with just the basics and nothing more and our prices reflect that! Keeping it simple meets the needs of most of our customers.

I did look into call forwarding a while back following an earlier request on Geekzone and it wasn't trivial to setup. We're a small team and have to focus on the products that we think will benefit our customers the most, such as our new broadband offer that launched this week.

I'm sorry that we can't meet your needs but hope that you understand why.
