You have to buy an Add-on for Data

Hey @LivingSkinny ,

Can you buy the roaming packages before you leave NZ so you can hit the ground and go? Or will that cause issues?

With the addons to they activate immediately, or upon first use?

It would be kinda hard to activate if you're without data when you arrive at your destination.

The Add-ons activate as soon as you purchase them.  You can purchase overseas as our site is free to use from a Skinny device and therefore can be used when you don't have any data allowance.

You can buy before you leave but that does mean that the clock has already started ticking as they are active from the time of purchase.

Well we just got back from our Aussie trip and can report everything worked like a charm. No issues at all. This included using the app to add some extra data and also texting to add funds to my account to allow the top up.

Only weird thing was I got the welcome text message twice, although I think that was after the 7 days had ended.

One tip is before you go to Australia check your APN settings if you don't have a skinny supplied phone.

You need to make sure wapaccess.co.nz is your APN or roaming data simply won't work
