Hey :)

I'm (well been trying) to text a friend, I'm spark He's 2degrees. I can recieve his texts, but I have probably around 10 texts over a couple days that he never got, and sent me screenshots.

Rang Spark, were useless tbh. Rang 2degrees but didn't get anywhere.

What would cause this? I'm not blocked on his iPhone, we checked that. :/

@funnyfela Have you made sure you have not put that mobile number under the black list / block on your handset? The A party network (sending) should be looking into this not B party (receiving)

You should not be calling 2Degrees as you are not a customer of theirs,

Edit: If the B party is on 2Degrees then get them to check they have not added your number to a block on their handset,

Any fault like this fault investigation always starts on the A party network (sending)

Yes not on a block list (on either phone)

When I rang spark, after god knows how long on hold, the lady said if my phone say sent then its not their problem and to ring 2degrees. That was honestly the entire conversation (except for asking if the message says sent or failed).

I thought it'd be the Spark side first. Thanks johnr for confirming that.

Do the A party or B party have an iPhone?

A party = Galaxy S6 edge on Spark
B party = iPhone 6 on 2degrees.

Messages just stopped a couple of days ago randomly

Called Spark again, much more helpful :) But they got me to call the number, and voicemail after one ring, twice. B party didn't know I called. Spark (and google) agree I'm blocked after Spark rang the number themselves and spoke to B party.

Spark said to get another phone for B party to put sim in and try again, B party is at work tonight so will have to wait. If still doesn't work then its up to B party to ring 2degrees and lodge it with them.

Based on my experience with Blocking calls on a Galaxy Note 4 the fact that you are hearing one ring before going to voice mail indicates that the blocking is applied on the receiving phone

I know on the note blocked calls do not show on call notifications but do show on call logs as rejected calls

I was with B party other day, checked block list, not there. Didn't work. Put my phone on hidden called id to test and it rang. Took off hidden caller id and suddenly worked. Then texting came to life and has since still worked.
