Hi,

What port does BigPipe allow for external SMTP servers? It seems to be blocking 25 and 26...

Thanks,
Mark

Standard for most ISP's. You should be able to use port 587 (Secure SMTP) which pretty much every provider support. If you're setting up a mail server then stop, take a breather then set this up on a dedicated VPS somewhere (like Linode or AWS) or go to another platform like Google Apps, Office 365 or Zoho Mail.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the reply, tried 587 as well which didn't appear to work - remote support for my daughter isn't easy.

Cheers,
Mark

BigPipe have previously said they don't do port blocking. Has this changed?

Almost all providers filter / block port 25.

What are you trying to do?

Have you got a static IP?
Bigpipe is CGNAT by default, which might cause issues like this maybe.
(Yo can get a static ip to get around the CGNAT)
