My Dad (in Miramar) is currently suffering the cable congestion woes as per the Krapi Cable thread. He does have fibre available at his location and is very eager to move from cable to fibre with Spark.

As he is not technical, I booked a callback for him on Tuesday night using the Spark webpage. As of today he has received 0 calls and is understandably not impressed.

I would walk him through signing up on the Spark website but the phone is in his partner's name, not his.

Has anyone got the callback system on the Spark website to work? He doesn't have time to sit on the phone to 123 (I presume that's where he calls?)

You can request a callback via 123.
If you call during the day then more often I never have to wait.

I recently got a call-back after leaving a request for a call on the Complaints part of their website.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

It works, make sure you give them your contact phone otherwise, no it won't work.

I'll complete the form again tonight (this time taking a screenshot) and see what happens.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

You could always put a (prepay?) phone number up in these forums and say "first ISP to call gets his business".

Could be a fun experiment - I might try it myself if I find myself shopping around in future.

Edit: You kinda gotta commit though so I'd probably put up a caveat with the terms you're after.

It did for my wife last week  and it was on time but a day late.

I have successfully used the callback request on the website twice in the past month or so.
