I was just wondering are there any updates on Telecoms new GSM network? How much have they built? When will it be going?

Wonder if the clock time synchronisation will work in their new network - that is handy!

I don't know about the Time Synchronisation issue. As you probably know, Vodafone don't support it, which is a pity.

Regarding the roll-out schedule, I remember NZBNW stated a few weeks back that November 08 was the target date.  Beginning or end of November, I'm not sure, but somewhere in that time frame anyway.

Not too much longer to wait really Smile

I think i read that too! and I think they said they will be capable of both GSM (Telecoms new network at 850Mhz) and CDMA

The Telecom BlackBerry is coming soon, plus the Samsung Ace Windows Mobile. The Okta Mondo is already out there for weeks now.

That’s new to me! Telecom do however have some more Worldmode phones coming, that are widely reported, both here on Geekzone and other media sources.

November 2008 is still my understanding.

When Telecom bring out an affordable Nokia world mode phone I will give it some serious consideration.

There will be no Nokia Worldmode handsets. You will have to wait untill the WCDMA network is launched.
