I recently upgraded from BP VDSL to BP UFB, and firstly, the process went very smoothly. the tech showed up on time on both visits, installed exactly as agreed and in good time.
Simple instructions were left with my Wife to pass on to me and everything was great from there. After the poor experiences I've seen with other installs on here and elsewhere, I'm grateful.
There was one small sticking point where I couldnt connect to the router or the internet. In the end I found my ethernet cable was just dodgy! D'oh. Noticed just after I'd sent off a support ticket too - whoops. A good reminder to rule out the simple stuff first.
Anyway, I've had it for a week or so now, and the point of my thread is that it's not very fast. Browsing is not noticeably faster than VDSL was, and speedtests give me about 25 down, 20 up.
This particular test was over Wifi, but I've been getting approximately the same results using ethernet. so far as I can see, BP only offer 100/20. I've not yet lodged a support ticket, is there anything I should be isolating here before getting in touch?
(using the BP supplied & configured router, 1 PC only, wired or wireless similar results)
