Does anyone know if there is a way to disable casual data on a spark prepay phone?

A friend says he had a 100mb data plan but after the 100mb was used it started charging excess data to his balance when he would have preferred data to just be blocked.

He also made the mistake of replacing the samsung firmware on his phone that has a nice disable data button to some cyanogenmod which has the data on/off button through three levels of menus, but thats beside the point.

Can he set his account to dis-allow casual data?

I'm on the $19 prepay plan. I keep my balance at $0 and have the $19 charged to my credit card each month. So I can't possibly use casual data because my balance is always $0. That's one way to do it.

Switch to Skinny. Same network but no overcharges.

Oh and by the way the $16 combo is great value. My two daughters and my wife are on it. Currently giving a gig of rollover data a month for that price on promotion.

Short answer, no

Easiest solution would be to not leave any excess credit on the prepay account, add only what is needed for the plan/extra
