i just started using telecom mobile data card. i have a question here, after installing the latest watcher from sierra wireless (specifically for telecom data card sierra 595), i notice there are two connection appear in my network connection:

1. Telecom 3G (under the Dial Up heading)
2. Wireless Connection 2  - Sierra Wireless AC595 1xEV-DO Network Adapter (under LAN or High Speed Internet)

from my observation, Wireless Connection 2 has nothing to do with the watcher connection. can i just delete or disable this adapter?

thanks

The 595 has WIFI functionality, so that is probably what you are seeing.  If you're not using it, then you should be able to disable it without any problems..

Of course, if you DO have problems after disabling it.. You could just re-enable it ;-)

I am running the Sierra Watcher program on Windows XP, I don't know what OS you are using, but this may have some bearing on what you are seeing.

I have noticed that Wireless Connection 2 appears when you plug the card in, and disappears when you take it out.  Therefore the presence of this extra connection must have something to do with the Watcher program.

If I was you, I would leave this connection alone!  Delete it at your peril Smile

lol. i deleted it anyway. if i dont delete it, it can result in BSOD if i mistakenly switch on my wireless. my OS is windows xp PRO tablet PC edition.

never need to re-enable it Cool. i quite like ev-do performance. but i think it is not as fast as vodafone hsdpa. i connect to vodafone with my cellphone. but, ev-do has a more stable connection. no sudden drop in speed.
