I got an HTC Titan pda last year and ported my number over from Vodaone to Telecom. I understand that I can't do real MMS messaging. I can live with sending pictures via email and all that.

What annoys me most though is the fact that if a Vodafone user sends me a pxt it doesn't get anywhere near my handset. No message at all.

Apparently this is teh porting? Can someone elaborate?

It sounds like the port might not have been properly, you should get a legacy SMS when you receive a photo message regardless of whether the sender is from Vodafone or Telecom.

I suggest you call mobile data faults on 0800 400909 opt 3 so that they can have a look at it.

Thank you! That was the problem. It's a shame the first Telecom help desk operator couldn't tell me that.
