Hi folks

 

I've currently got my Skinny Wireless Broadband router going into my Edge Router Lite which is handling routing, and I'd like to put the Skinny router into bridge mode. I had a look around the control panel and couldn't see anything. Does anyone know if this is possible?

 

The Skinny router is a Huawei B315s-608.

 

Alternatively, can I use the SIM card from the Skinny router in another router? (I assume there is a sim card somewhere inside it)

Haven't seen a way to do this, just running in double NAT for now.

 

Bridge mode would be nice!

The answers are no and no, but if you want the functionality you want (putting the SIM card in another router and not having double NAT) you'd need to move to another provider which will cost you more.

It's CGNAT so you've got TRIPLE NAT.

 

If you wanted to have only one layer of NAT, your best bet would be to rent a cheap VPS and tunnel through it.  AUD$10/mo on one of these?  https://www.ransomit.com.au/vps
