Weird issue tonight for over an hour, Enable fibre in Christchurch.

Have an IP address, can ping some IP addresses but internet is not working.

Logged issue with BigPipe but no status updates on their page or response to query so far..

Perhaps try Google's DNS servers on your computer?  8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Have tried DNS already thanks though
Can't ping BigPipe DNS and nslookup times out
Can ping 2degrees DNS but nslookup gets rejected (expected due to 2degrees ACLs)
Nslookup with Google DNS times out

All working with me - DNS responds fine, internet working.

Just checking - have you:
1) Rebooted your Router / ONT
2) Paid your bill with them?

If they miss billing for I think 3 times in a row they do what you're mentioning by essentially blocking your access and redirecting your internet to a payment required page.

Yeah have done all of those
I suspect may be a bad route somewhere with my static IP although odd I can ping 2degrees ok.
Have tried turning on VLAN tagging as they've told me that is enabled for my port but PPPoE can't connect if I do that

I can RDP to my work PC (2degrees) from my BigPipe connection, and ping BigPipe DNS from there. And access my home port forwards.

Our UFB internet connection went off into the weeds after their Friday morning update. Was doing a trickle for download and upload. I rebooted it and was all back to normal after around 5 minutes. At least they sent out warnings about their upgrade - thought that was a good thing they did that.

Resolved at 2pm today after being escalated, my IP had been allocated to another customer. I hope processes will be put in place to ensure that isn't possible in future

And we're out again.
This time PPPoE timeout
