I've use Skinny for a few months, I'm happy with their product and service. I moved my wife over last month, she's happy with the product but rather annoyed at the volume of text messages. However that's not my point.

Skinny bills us via credit card auto top-up. Today I checked the statement and saw a charge from "SPARK NZ LTD AUCKLAND NZ". I thought that's strange, since we don't have any business with Spark. However it's on the same day as Skinny charged my wife, which makes me think Skinny is just charging under the Spark name.

I know Spark owns or owned Skinny, but aren't they separate companies? Maybe I should dispute the charge since I don't have any business with Spark?

My most recent transaction (20/12) is listed as Skinny on the statement. Hmm...

I found that the charge usually shows up as Spark for a day or two, and then somehow it changes to Skinny.

I would recommand you to wait for a few days and see how it goes.

BTW, was the $ amount charged correct?

Skinny is a wholly owned Spark venture, if the amount is correct and the transaction is correct then it doesn't matter.

If it is Skinny then yes the amount is correct. I've never noticed it changing, I don't look that often.
