I'm a happy customer on the $30 combo. But when I run out of data with 2 days to go, I want to immediately renew my combo and start the next 30 day period.

I have contacted Skinny Direct support and they advise:

"In terms of renewing your combo you can definitely do this before your combo is set to renew/expire. To do this you will need to deactivate the active combo and re-purchase it. Please be aware however that deactivating the combo does freeze the quota on your account so please do not do this if you do not intend to add the combo on straight away as you will not have access to the minutes, texts and data if the plan is deactivated."

How do I deactivate my combo? I've tried using mobile and desktop browsers and can't find this function.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Joseph

As an aside, I'm also interested if anyone has stuck the same issue as me when their data has run out, that is that I can load skinny.co.nz but not skinnydirect.co.nz.
Skinny Direct support have confirmed that the skinnydirect page is zero rated but twice I've not been able to load it, but have been able to load skinny.co.nz.

With regards to your observation, I noticed it and reported it 2.5 months ago. Here's the response...

Me - skinnydirect.co.nz not zero rated, when i run out of data i could fully access skinny website, but couldn't access direct website to add data.

Skinny Direct - We have tested this and area unable to replicate the problem. We're monitoring to see if we get any other reports of the same issue.

Aah excellent thank you. I'm reasonably competent and was sure I had done everything right!

Spoke to Skinny support today an have got it worked out. Easy when you know how!
Log in, go to the menu, Your Account then Cancel Payment. Then choose cancel combo.

Also regarding the zero rated sites. I ran out of data today and this is what I found.
www.skinny.co.nz loads correctly.
http://www.skinnydirect.co.nz does not load for me. BUT
https://skinnydirect.co.nz DOES load correctly when data has run out.
I passed on my findings to the person I spoke to.

Cheers,
Joseph

If you’re running out of data on the Skinny Direct Combo (in this case the $30 Combo) and you want more, a simpler option is to get an extra 1GB for just $10.  Once your Combo does renew, you’ll still use the unused portion of the 1GB first, so you won’t lose out!

Yeah, but what if this happens for some reason with 10 days to go. Would be great if you could add this extra to the plan rather than have it expire after 7 days.

This applies to all sorts of plans and not just Skinny ones either.

The 1GB extra data for $10 expires after 30 days.
