So I have been with Sparks relatively new 4g Rural service for almost a year, compered to our alternate options ie 1 mb ADSL it has been a great!
But just notice something that has been happening of recent...
I have been monitoring the speed (download) and it can rocked up to 70-80 mbit per second using Steam then it have been dropping down to approx. 7mb/s and wont go back up to the almost fiber like speeds of before.
If I stop the download by pausing it and wait, then restart it does the same thing, sometimes I can get a almost a minute at these speeds then it goes back to 7mb/s
Does this sound like Spark are throttling the network? According to their page they won't /don't do this, but report that if a data policy changes they will let me the customer know.
"
Traffic Management
We don't place any artificial speed restrictions on our Rural Wireless Broadband plans. This means that you will receive the best speed we can provide at any point in time. In the future we may have to amend this policy to ensure we continue to provide our customers the best possible experience on our network. If we make any changes to this policy which will have a material impact on you we will let you know."
Thoughts?
