What are you trying to achieve?

Increasing the MTU to above 1492/1500 would require every hop in your route to support jumbo frames (outside of BigPipe's control).

Jumbo frames are used in local networks to increase the throughput of a 1Gbps connection by reducing the ratio of header to frame size.

If you send a jumbo frame to a device that doesn't support it, it will be dropped.

If you are currently getting over 900Mbps down and 430Mbps up, you are making the very most of your internet connection.

I am trying to achieve world peace through better understanding of my network connections.  I gain better understanding through asking questions and contemplating the answers I receive. Thank you for your time.

No

Bitstream 2 is only 2000 bytes, however ISP's probably limit it to 1500 bytes.

the internet generally only supports 1500 bytes.

The more business service (Non-gpon services) can support Jumbo for inter-site services.
