I moved from Orcon ADSL to Bigpipe fibre (200/20) in December and things have been going well except for streaming from the iTunes movie store with my Apple TV (3rd gen).
I have the Apple TV settings set to stream full 1080p quality movies/trailers, but streaming now takes forever to load and I always get 'maybe try switching to 720p in the Settings' message after I have bought or rented a movie.
I have restarted, and reset, the Apple TV multiple times.
This problem honestly never happened when I was with Orcon on ADSL. Movies and trailers would start immediately. They would sometimes pause, albeit very briefly, while it was caching, but now it's 5x worse.
I have been in contact with Bigpipe and after conducting a speedtest for them and sending them the results, their say they can't do much, which I can understand.
However, I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue, or seen or heard of others who have?
FWIW, I have a Huawei HG659 connected to the ONT, and the Apple TV is connected to it via ethernet.
I have the iOS Bigpipe app but nothing makes a difference (prioritising streaming, resetting all settings etc.)
