I have changed over from my Skinny Wireless to Skinny wires, which is super fast and awesome! but on my Laptop Outlook can send e-mails but not receive them.

I get the disconnected exclamation at the bottom of the screen, is this something Skinny has to fix, a router issue to fix (not allowing the right port to flow traffic?)

I can connect fine with my Skinny Wireless modem, but this will stop working around 12th April so I need to figure out what is going on before then.

Anyone else seen this issue?

BTW loving the 56mb/s down and 10mb/s up and low latency.

Hello!

I note that you're saying that you can connect fine with your Skinny Wireless modem, but if you're using Skinny Unlimited (wired broadband) you really need to be using our Skinny Unlimited Modem (HG659). We can't help with a connection that's using the wrong gear! Unless this was a typo, switch to the proper modem. There's a good chance that doing this will fix the problem - and if you're on a fibre connection, you may see better speeds as well.

No typo but i still have my wireless connection running so changed to that one so i could connect.

New wired modem is being used for unlimited wired connection

Who is your email provider? It's something you probably need to be asking them about.

It is a work exchange server, however my problem is it worked from every other router I have ever used, it works from work, my skinny wireless router, the old belkin router at my MIL house, the router at my fathers work and home, every single router I have ever used except this one, I am not sure how our IT support is going to help with this, it seems like Skinny is blocking a port on their unlimited plan or the modem isn't working as it should.

To be clear, I have 2 Skinny connections currently live, the wireless and the unlimited VDSL each is using the modem supplied with it.

This really sounds like something you should discuss with Skinny support and your IT department privately, rather than in a public forum

To the contrary if this is a straight forward fix having the information on a public forum is most advantageous to Skinny and anyone in the community, if it is a limitation to the service provided it is equally important to have this information available.

Why do you think it's a router issue and have you done any Telnet / port tests?

Edit: Have you checked with your IT team if they do any whitelisting / blacklisting of IP's to the exchange server on the work firewall?
