Well today I found my third party email addresses were no longer sending through spark yahoo so I checked my email migration and sure enough I have been successfully migrated to the new system but I see no option in the new webmail interface to add third party email so I am currently not able to use my third party email addresses which are the only ones I use normally, I need to reply on these addresses today. So what are going to be the options to solve this problem?

Or call Spark who can I've been told facilitate the same service as before migration.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Sorry, I just assumed people would understand as there are plenty of people like me who have old email addresses where they no longer have access to the email smtp server associated with them, in my case it is an old orcon email address that you keep for life.

Calling spark has previously been a waste of time with this issue, I got the last solution to the same sort of issue from geekzone, that solution no longer works now that my email has been migrated to new server.

You should have access to mail.orcon.net.nz on port 587 or 465 on any Spark connection.

As above, this will work.

Otherwise if you must go down the path of third party verification, double check all your settings then send me a DM with contact info, error messages, email address's and i'll raise it to be corrected.

thanks but I'm still not sure that I am been understood, I am no longer with orcon so I cannot send messages using their server, I have to use the xtra server for sending messages from my old orcon email address, to do this my email address must be authorized by sparks server which since the changeover it is not. I hope that explains it fully enough.

it works like this, You Can't use orcons port 25 server for sending emails - Sparks port 25 restriction will stop this.

You can however use orcons SSL (port 587 or 465) services still. - Sparks filtering does not apply here.

I also did offer to alternatively look into your third party authentication as a spark rep..

You are definitely being understood, there is simply Two means of resolving the issue. The first being the preferred from the tech community aspect aswell as my own personal views.

I still seem to be able to send emails via xtra after the change over fine. Iserve web and email hosting (who is now owned by Orcon) don't provide any SMTP server, so you have to use your ISPs email server.

Call spark, yeah right, 1 hour wait time at the moment and help via spark chat only went as far as saying to call the email help line.

Thanks hio77, your tip "You can however use orcons SSL (port 587 or 465) services still. - Sparks filtering does not apply here." did the trick, thank you very much, as usual geekzone rules.

Last time i'll offer it here.

Please double check all your settings then send me a DM with contact info, error messages, email address's and i'll raise it to be corrected within spark Rather than you having to call..

The settings you should be using are, Inbound orcons server POP servers.

Outbound, sparks Send.xtra.co.nz SMTP server - With your spark account for authentication.
